Definition:
An interstate carrier is defined as any company that transports property and/or passengers across state lines at any point during the operation. Transport can include any means, such as airplane, train, boat and commercial motor vehicle.
Additional means of interstate commerce include, crossing state lines including travel to a foreign country, and that which has its origination and destination within the United States but it passes through another state or foreign country in the process of transport.
